Dietitian says it may be healthier to have pizza than cereal for breakfast

In an interview with the Daily Meal, dietitian Chelsey Amer explains why a slice of pizza could be better for more of a well-balanced diet than a bowl of cereal:

“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories"

 While pizza is absolutely not to be considered a 'health food', when you compare it to the more sugary cereals these days, you may actually have a more balanced breakfast if you opt for pizza.

Part of the reason for this is because - according to Amer -protein:

"Pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning."
